Here is a list of useful support for parents in Brent. This was collated from the parents meeting on 20th January 2015, and is added to as we become aware of more services offering support to parents and children.

One Voice

One Voice Community Forum is a voluntary charity

run by parents/carers for parents/carers of disabled

children who live in Brent. They have free activities

and play schemes.

Brent Carers Centre offer carers living in, or caring for a person living in, Brent an extensive range of information and advice services on all aspects of their caring responsibilities, via the operation of the Brent Carers Services Hub and other local initiatives.

Resources for Autism - provide practical services for children and adults with an autistic spectrum condition and for their families and carers.

BOAT

The Brent outreach autism team works with children and young people who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum. The service they provide is mostly school based with some advice and support offered to families. We support all children and young people at mainstream Brent schools, including sixth-forms, whether they live in the borough or not.
